Why an Inlaid Logo?
No printed mat can come close to the sharp lines, rich colours, and crisp graphics of an inlaid logo mat. Printed mats are made just like you imagine: liquid dye is sprayed onto a field of blank nylon fibres, just like your desktop inkjet printer – with results that rub off, blur out, and fade over time.
Inlaid logos are completely different. We take your logo artwork file and, using our proprietary software, separate out each element by colour into individual shapes and pieces. Instead of spraying ink, we then use our CNC cutting table to precision-cut each one of these logo pieces from different colours of matting material. Finally, all the individual pieces are assembled by hand and chemically welded together, right here in our shop. Essentially, your logo mat is hand-built like a huge mosaic or a jigsaw puzzle – not a mass-produced printed commodity.
