How to Move a Mat

Moving your large custom entrance mats is easily done by one person – as long as you know how!

The trick to moving your mats is all about AIR!  Putting a cushion of air underneath your mat will allow you reposition it easily and all by yourself.  Watch our video or read below to see how.

Grab the Mat

Start in the middle of one side of your mat.  Slide your hands underneath the edge of the mat around the edging and hold tight.

Careful Where You Grab!

Make sure you are grabbing the mat itself around the edging and not holding on to the edging itself!

Fluff the Air Cushion

Quickly lift and “fluff” air underneath the mat, like you’re putting a duvet on your bed.  We want to get a cushion of air underneath your mat, because that’s what will allow you to move it without excessive effort or strength.

Keep lifting and “fluffing” the mat as needed to add more air underneath it.  Reposition your mat while fluffing more air.

Move Your Mat

Move your mat into the desired place while lifting and “fluffing” the mat.  Once it’s in place, let it drop to the floor.
