How to Damp Mop Underneath a Mat
It’s obvious that you need to clean the top side of your mat, but most people don’t know that you need to clean underneath your mats too! Dirt, grit, sand, and pebbles will make their way underneath your entrance mats eventually, and these contaminants are what cause your mats to shift and move when people walk over them.

Flip your Mat

Sweep
Begin with sweeping up the dirt that’s hiding underneath your mat.
Damp Mop
Mop up the remaining dust and dirt from the floor. Make sure that you are using a DAMP mop, not a WET mop. The floor must be totally dry before unflipping your mat, otherwise mould and mildew may start to grow on the floor underneath.
Unflip your mat.
