THE BEST MATS IN BURNABY SINCE 1999
How Important is an Entrance Mat for Your Business in Burnaby
Entrance mats serve a crucial function for businesses in Burnaby and the lower mainland – they help keep dirt, debris, and moisture from being tracked inside, leading to a cleaner and safer environment for employees and customers. Not only do entrance mats improve the appearance of a building’s entryway, but they also reduce the need for constant cleaning and maintenance.
One of the most important factors in choosing an entrance mat is selecting the appropriate material for the intended use. For indoor areas with low levels of foot traffic, a carpeted mat may be sufficient. However, for high-traffic outdoor entrances or areas where water or mud are likely to be present, a rubber or a vinyl mat with drainage holes is necessary to catch and remove excess moisture effectively.
In addition to material selection, it is also important to consider the size and placement of entrance mats. Ideally, there should be at least two mats – one just outside the entrance and another several feet inside. This allows for maximum effectiveness in trapping dirt and moisture before it can reach further into the building. The mats should also extend beyond doorways so that they are wide enough to catch debris from the entirety of someone’s foot as they step onto it.
By investing in high-quality entrance mats and placing them properly, businesses can ensure a cleaner and more inviting environment for all who enter their premises.
